And yes, the water stop at the start/finish of the bike/run was fix-your-own!

But Michael was all smiles. Hopefully letting all his Team Whetstone cheers sink in deep to help him over those hills to come.

And of course this is what Michael was off doing when they called his name for winning 3rd place in his age group. He doesn't like people to make a fuss over him, but as you can tell by our screams in the video, we made quite a fuss!
